Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Olasio , also known as Ruiz, was born on the 10th of January 1993. He is also known as Rauw Alejandro. He is referred to as "the King of the New Reggaeton"[2][3and is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. His debut studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The album's lead track, "Todo de Ti", was released in June 2021. Two Latin Grammy Awards have been taken home by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz, a Latin Grammy Award winner was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas and Carolina. The father of Alejandro guitar player Raul OcasioRuiz, and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) gave him a wide range of his musical inspirations like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley as well as Chris Brown. 6 For a number of years, Alejandro and his father resided in the continental United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where his inspiration came from the R&B and dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel, a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood friends. They both attended the same school and shared classes. When they were children, Alejandro competed in school talent shows since he has an obsession with dancing. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. He played soccer from six to twenty-five. But, he stopped playing because he couldn't perform as well as he had hoped. When he was 20, He suffered an injury. He relocated to Orlando, Florida to attempt to get scouted to play in the Premier Development League (PDL) and was ultimately unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro's musical style encompasses Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballads, and rhythmic pop. Billboard noted that it's been instrumental in helping "set him apart from the growing group of reggaetoneros who are influenced by pop".
